Want to Become Catholic?
Would you like to know more about the Catholic Faith?
Have you been thinking about joining the Catholic Church?
Are you a baptized Catholic who has not received the sacraments of Eucharist & Confirmation?
Are you a practicing Catholic who would like to share your faith with others and learn more about the Church?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, then take a look at the St. Wenceslaus OCIA program!
OCIA (the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process for those interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and considering full membership in the Catholic Church. Classes are held weekly on Wednesday evenings, and attendees are educated on the beliefs of the Catholic Church.
If you are interested in becoming an OCIA sponsor, are a fully initiated Catholic and in good standing with the Church, we would like you to consider serving as a companion to those who wish to become Catholic.
Interested in joining OCIA or becoming a sponsor? Contact Brian Corey | coreyb@stwenceslaus.org | (402) 697-7514 or Chris Edmonds | edmondsc@stwenceslaus.org | (402) 991-3425.
What if I have a child who wants to enter the Catholic Church?
Children over the age of 7 who have not been baptized or who were raised in another religious tradition will need to enter into the Catholic Church through a special program called OCIA for children. These classes will introduce children to the Catholic Church and they will receive the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation all at one time during the Easter Vigil in the spring.
