The Eucharistic liturgy is the source and summit of the faith life of St. Wenceslaus Parish. Sunday and weekday masses offer parishioners the opportunity to gather in prayer and give thanks for all that God has done for us.

To make these liturgies true celebrations, we take advantage of the baptismal call of our parishioners to serve our liturgies through a variety of ministries.

St. Wenceslaus offers the following ways for parishioners to become involved in the liturgical life of the parish:

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion—EMHCs assist with distributing communion at weekend and holy day liturgies. Archdiocesan training and mandation, which is offered once a year in the fall, is required. Parish training is also required. For men and women, juniors and/or seniors in high school.

Lectors—Lectors proclaim the scripture readings at weekend and holy day liturgies. Required archdiocesan training and mandation is offered in the fall. Parish training is also required. Available to men and women, juniors and/or seniors in high school.

Music—Adults, high school youth and children can be involved in the music ministry of our parish in a variety of ways:
blank Adult Choir—9:00 AM Sunday Mass September through May
Instrumental/Vocal GroupOnce a month at 10:30 AM Mass
High School/Junior High—Third Sunday of the month at noon Mass
Individual Cantors and Keyboardists—Sing or play as scheduled
Handbell Choirs—Open to adults and high school youth
Children’s Choirs—Grades 1-6 at Christmas and Easter time

Art & Environment—Those who take part in this ministry help with sewing and decorating at special times throughout the year.

Liturgy Committee Member—This committee meets on the fourth Monday of the month in September, October, November, January and February. The committee assists the Liturgy Office with various activities such as decorating and the Sausage Social.

Altar Server—7th grade and older boys and girls who serve at the altar and assist the priests at Mass. Training is provided.

Altar Linen Caretaker— Adults whose responsibilities are collecting dirty linens from the Sacristy on Monday, washing and ironing them at home, and returning them by Friday each week. Scheduled on a rotating basis.

Votive Candle Cleaner—Every other week adults in the ministry take the red votive candle holders from the church, clean them and return them with new candles.

Bulletin Stuffer—Assists with adding inserts in the bulletin as needed.
